Friday Shabbat Services are held at 8 p.m. and are followed by an Oneg Shabbat at about 9:15. Each month includes a "family service" that our young members especially enjoy, an adult-oriented service, a "learning service" for older children (fourth grade and up), and an adult education service. In addition, special "Musical Shabbats" are scheduled throughout the year. We also hold a monthly "Tot Shabbat" service, a music-filled shorter service at 7:00 p.m. for the youngest members of Temple B'nai Shalom and their families.
Saturday Morning Services begin at 10:00 a.m. and conclude about 11:30. Bar and Bat Mitzvah services are beautiful child-centered events for the family and congregation. There is also a "Minyan Makers" adult service at 8:45 a.m. with a Torah reading and Torah study, preceded by breakfast at 8:15 a.m. Minyan Makers meets at 9:00 a.m. without breakfast during the summer.
Holiday Worship and Celebrations are held throughout the year, including the High Holy Days, Purim, Sukkot, Simchat Torah, Thanksgiving, Chanukah, and Yom Ha'Atzmaut (Israel Independence Day). We have a Second Night Seder for our members every Passover. |
