Maimonides taught that the highest level of tzedakah is providing someone with a means to be self-sufficient. We can help Temple B’nai Shalom members support themselves by providing crucial assistance during any time of economic hardship. One way to bring real change into people’s lives is by helping them find jobs and make connections with potential employers.
Your TBS community cares and is ready to work with those members who are looking to find a new job, to switch careers, or simply need employment. We are here to help. Some local resources you may also want to consider are:
Jewish Social Service Agency – Offers individual career counseling and job development, college and career testing and assessment.
GMU University Career Services – George Mason University has a Career Library that Non-GMU community members can use.
The Women’s Center – Whether you are seeking employment, changing career paths, re-entering the job market, or entering it for the very first time, the Women’s Center can help during this important transition.
