Temple B’nai Shalom Social Justice Shabbat Sermon

Before I begin, I would just like to thank the Social Action Committee for inviting me to participate in tonight’s service.  The work that they do here at Temple B’nai Shalom is an inspiration not only to all of us, but to the entire Reform movement. 

I would also like to thank my mother and Rabbi Nyer for inviting me to share their bimah tonight.  Working in politics for the last 6 months has taught me many things – the most important of which is that to succeed, you need to know people in high places.  The fact that these women have relationships with those in the highest of places is a connection I am comforted by everyday.
