Temple B'nai Shalom - Fairfax Station VA

At our Family Service on Friday evening, March 5, we will be recognizing the Scouts and Scout leaders in our Temple family. Girl Scouts , Boy Scouts, and Camp Fire from all levels of Scouting, and their leaders, are invited to attend the Erev Shabbat service in uniform. Each Scout who attends will receive a special Scout Shabbat patch. Also, if you have a Jewish religious award you would like to have presented to you at the service, please let Rabbi Perlin or Rabbi Nyer know in advance.

Beth is a licensed clinical social worker who is available as a consultant and can provide support and referrals to congregants free of charge, on a wide range of family issues. The Second Grade Family Education Shabbat will be combined with First Grade Shabbat on March 5 for the dinner and the service.

Birthday blessings for February children will be done at the Tot Shabbat on February 12, or at the newly added February Family Purim Service on February 26. Any child who misses a birthday blessing can always be blessed the following month.

Future Activities

For those youth groupers worried about the February 14th shul-in now that there is school on the 15th, we will have a Sunday night dinner event at 6pm with NO SLEEPING over since it is now a school night!

Friday, February 26th will now be a child-friendly PURIM SHABBAT service and megillah reading (with our kid's megillah) instead of an additional Adult Ed this month.
